How to reach Andaman and Nicobar Islands in 2022 – Indians and Foreign Nationals

The Andaman Islands are located in the Bay of Bengal, about 1300 km from the mainland of India. Between India and the southern coast of Indonesia, even though the islands are close to Indonesia for 150 km, it is accessible only through Indian ships and cargo.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands can be reached by air and sea. These are the only two routes to reach the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Port Blair). How to Reach Andaman By Ship:-

The Andaman Islands can also be reached by sea. Some ships are available to visit the islands. Ships are the oldest way of getting into Andaman from the mainland. The major ports of ships visiting Andaman are Kolkata, Vizag, and Chennai. Shiva of this is not convenient to come to Andaman from any place. These are the government-run ship services that can be availed. Tickets for ships can be booked through the Shipping Directorate/Shipping Corporation of the respective ports. Can we travel to Andaman by train?

You cannot reach the Andaman Islands by train from anywhere in the world. In the middle is an ocean that has to be crossed by an aircraft or ship. You can take a train to the city station from where you will take your onward flight to Port Blair, there is no train facility for Andaman.

Can we reach Andaman By Bus?

There is no bus service available to the Andaman Islands. You have to cross the Bay of Bengal Sea either by plane or by ship. The best part is that you can take a bus to the nearest bus stand, from where you can reach the airport for your onward flight to Port Blair.
